Frequently asked questions
Answers about organizations, members, donations, UPI, receipts, expenses, the logbook, and more.
What is Chenda Vasool?+
Chenda Vasool is a digital collection and account book for Chenda organizations. It's sometimes typed as Chanda Vasool, Chendha Vasool or Chandha Vasool — all refer to the same product.
How do I create an organization?+
Register an account, then create your organization with its name and contact details. You become its owner and can invite the rest of your team.
How do I add members?+
From your organization, send an invitation by phone or email with a role assigned — owner, admin, collector or accountant. The invitee opens the link and joins.
What roles are available for members?+
Owner, admin, collector and accountant. Roles control what a member can do — for example, who can record collections versus who can manage organization settings.
How are donations recorded?+
From the collect screen, enter an amount, transaction type, optional donor and description, and choose cash or UPI as the payment method.
How does UPI collection work?+
Once your organization's UPI ID is configured, a QR is generated for the exact amount. The donor scans it and pays from their own UPI app, and a collector confirms the payment. Scanning the QR is not itself confirmation — the collector's confirmation is what completes the collection.
Do I get a receipt for every collection?+
Yes. Every completed collection issues a uniquely numbered receipt, viewable as a PDF and available to print, share or email.
Can I track expenses, not just collections?+
Yes. Expenses are recorded with a category, amount, payment method and who they were paid to, and appear alongside collections in the logbook, dashboard and reports.
What is the logbook?+
The logbook is a combined, chronological record of every collection and expense — a digital replacement for the organization's physical account notebook.
Does Chenda Vasool work on mobile and web?+
Yes. Collectors can record collections from the mobile app, while admins and treasurers can review the dashboard, logbook and reports from the web — the same organization data, kept in sync.
How do invitation links work?+
An invitation link is unique to the person invited and the organization they're joining. Opening it lets them accept and join with the role they were assigned.
Can I sign in with Google?+
Yes. Chenda Vasool supports signing in and registering with Google, alongside email or phone and password.
